Ruby is a great traveler... at least, she was on roadtrip #1. We traveled to Rocklin... from the San Jose area that is about 3 hours... ish. Maybe 2 1/2. Traveling there on a Friday afternoon? It takes about 4-5. UGH. But... what does Ruby do the whole 4-5 hour stop and go car ride? SLEEP. The WHOLE RIDE! What the???
THEN, while at Connie's house (Auntie Lindsey's mom), she slept each night for at least 4-5 hours straight (which is normal now - thank goodness), and napped each day from about eleven to 2/3. What the?? (This is, of course, after I tell Connie that this child just will not sleep more than 15-45 minutes at a time during the day. Ruby made me out to be a liar!)
THEN, we took her to the wedding on Saturday night... she stayed inside during the service with Connie but came out to play for the reception. Total champ. Just was totally content being held in her cute party dress. And then fell asleep around 10, and stayed asleep (through wedding noise, car seat transfers, and a whole lot of flash photography) until 3AM! I love this kid. She's great! :)
THEN (I KNOW!), she slept the whole 2 1/2 car ride home even though it meant sleeping past her feeding time. She then woke up when we got home, fed, and went to bed for another 4 hours or so. This kid is on fire!! (not literally, people...). She's amazing. What a champ Rubster... what a champ.
**Thanks to Connie for taking care of us over the weekend!!**

...this is a strange case of Ruby imitating mommy a la 26 years ago :) "the perfect child"
It was wonderful having you here--hurry back--oh, and bring your Mommy and Daddy too! :)
Since she is such a great traveler, you should try the drive to Pasadena! She would get SO MUCH sleep!!!! :)
